PhotonStar have launched the new EcoStar LED luminaire range which will be available through selected electrical wholesalers. The range offers a simple to fit, high quality solution for electrical contractors and electricians for both domestic and commercial projects.
The range includes a building regulations compliant LED downlight which is a direct replacement for halogen downlights and can be installed using the same tools and skillset. The revised October 2010 Part L1 UK building regulations specifically highlighted that halogen downlights would no longer comply, and properties are now being built to the revised regulations. EcoStar is at least 80% more efficient than similar halogen downlights.
The range also includes commercial fittings that replace low glare compact fluorescent downlights, and offer a more efficient solution that eliminates maintenance due to lifetimes at least five times that of the older CFL lamps.
