UK company PhotonStarTechnology Ltd. win Lighting Industry Award for second consecutive year, launching innovative new product range.
For the second consecutive year, Southampton based PhotonStar Technology Ltd., part of PhotonStar LED Group plc, have been recognised amongst global competition for “Light Source Product of the Year”.

Coordinated by the Lighting Association, the Lighting Industry Awards were presented at a gala dinner on 7th July 2011. Industry peers from government, energy companies and universities examined the entries to decide the final winners.
The module was up against a number of other market leading and innovative products from all over the world. The SmartWhite SLLE is one of PhotonStar’s new range of general lighting modules (recently launched at EuroLEDs 2011) based on established technology used in the company’s own luminaires. It will provide the advanced features of the highly regarded SmartWhite technology to OEMs, providing an intelligent, highly efficient, white colour tuneable, LED light source that provides the high colour quality & control suited to innovative, demanding and creative interior illumination grade applications.
SmartWhite SLLE is an intelligent, biodynamic LED module with unified footprint and mechanical assembly, tuneable between 3000K and 6500K. It is the first LED module to combine high efficiency (>65lm/W) with high colour quality (Ra>90). Embedded intelligence with ColourLoc, CRILoc, ThermaLoc and LumenLoc patented technology provide unrivalled, consistent performance over life.
PhotonStar Technology Ltd. will be rolling out a number of module options thoughout 2011/2 and are full members of Zhaga.
